Will it grow in zone 8

The red Liquidamber will. So will ( I think) the Canary Island Pine to the far left.
In the middle I forgot to mention is an Avocado tree.

They are all gorgeous what is the name of the one with dying spikey leaves Stan? There is one like that growing not far from here in a front garden its a beauty and big.

The fan palms? Washingtonia robusta. They are drought tolerant palms..the skirt is supposed to help the palm conserve water.
If you mean the big silver one in the middle? Its the worlds biggest and most modern Christmas tree! Sculptural-ha.

I know. The more I looked at that tower..the more it reminded me of a Charlie Brown Christmas where he laments "the commercialism of Christmas"..all that tower need is lights and tinfoil and star to be a giant version of what Charlie Brown hated.
