Some things are looking a bit sad especially my lawn that seems to have really suffered so will re turf that I think. I want to make a small seculuded area and after looking at some of your lovely gardens and reading the comments I think roses and clematis would be lovely but Im open to suggestions !
Well ive waffled enough see you all again soon and happy gardening.

Your garden looks great but it is nice to have a change sometimes. A secluded area is a good idea where you'll be able to hide away lol

A secluded place would be great - it's always nice not to be able to see all of your garden at one glance and it's amazing what you can do even with a small garden.

Best of luck.

you've got lots going on there already ~ i was thinking along similar lines to mariek and thought maybe a winding path leading to different areas?

hey Plantsman i agree with sixpence..your grass will recover once the weather warms up...i do like your wooden planters....they seem to divide your garden up...maybe you could add an archway there ..:-)

Love your garden, i get fedup looking at same things and i think a hide away will be great, as they all say your grass will come back fine.

Hi Plantsman
We have a small garden too but got some diversity of interest by building some raised beds, arches with climbers. Also an arch (conecting two raised beds) which we grew runner beans up, & a pergola with a grapevine, 2 climbing roses & a wisteria on it. Not having much area we found the only way to expand - was up!
Nice to see your compost bins - have you water butts too? Like the dog - does he/she dig things up?
Happy garden planning :)
