I now have a very small garden, the soil is acidic and there isn't much of it! But there is a lot of shale, so there is a lot of work to be done before it is acceptable to most plants.This is the eigth garden I have owned, all of them except two were bare patches of ground, or bramble coevered waste until I got the fork in my hand.
I have loved plants and gardens all my life, they have been oases of peace and relaxation as well as the cause of much backache !
I enjoy the design process, and the thrill of watching those tiny seeds miraculously grow into something beautiful and uplifting.
I am a grandmother, and my youngest grandson has just sown his first seeds. He likes to "help" with the watering and weeding too, with disastrous results if not guided!
