Mine are suffering too. I have put it down to drought (I am in SW London and it has been very dry since I planted them out - despite one wet day the soil is like a few cm down). Try regular watering - that's what I'm doing!

Your poor cucumber!! sounds like that dreaded spider. They suck the life out of it. Leaves turn droopy and spotty. the stems skinny....damn those little blighters!!
You should be able to see them they also have eggs on or near the site...clear red
