how to care for a parrot plant

Answers

I assume you mean Impatiens niamniamensis - red and yellow flowers in clusters ...

It likes some shade and moist compost ... not too wet, but just moist.
Cut it back when it gets leggy, so that it branches out.
The cuttings can be rooted easilly in water.

Or is it a Parrotia, which is a hardy deciduous shrub/tree ?.
Or is it a Clianthus puniceus, {parrots bill} which is best grown in the greenhouse border with a minimum temp of 41 deg f and kept practically dry, but given plenty of water in spring and summer ?, Derek.
