Identify seedling? This was in a pack of mixed perennials, its grown strongest of all the seedlings but I don't know what it is.

A picture on Wiki would agree with that, although it also describes milk thistle as annual/biennial.

I rather like them, but they do not survive in our garden, so not a thug here.

As an annual/biennial it would not be a thug unless it was allowed to self-seed everywhere; then watch out!
