Ash Tree holds onto last years seeds, has it got a problem?

Lancashire, United Kingdom

One of my two Ash trees was very slow to leaf. It has still got last years seeds on it and does not leaf as good as the other. Two pictures supplied. One showing both trees side by side, together with a close-up view showing old seeds on the tree causing concern.

It shouldn't be a concern, Like you, I have two Ash trees and one always clings onto last years, not producing many leaves. If you get a chance, cut back the health one (sounds stupid I know) but your poorly ash tree will then have more light and space to bloom!

How do I say thanks?
