eomecon chionantha. good or bad?

West Midlands, United Kingdom

Has anyone any experience of this plant? I bought one on ebay as the picture looked lovely, will I regret it, is it very invasive?

I've never grown it, but the RHS books says, for spread, "indefinite"! Perhaps you could do what people do with mint - put a solid barrier vertically down for 18 inches in the soil to stop it spreading where you don't want it?

Do you think it would see off my celandine? That would be great.

No, I don't, nothing sees that off except rigorous digging with a fork and removing the roots!

Mine spreads all over the place but only produces the odd white flower here and there.

Thanks all, doesn't seem like a good idea does it?
