how do you look after Salvias

Mrs. Digs has just bought a tray of Salvias and we have planted them into pots, in a mix of general compost and our sandy soil. Are these a bedding plant that will die at the end of the year or do they come back? Is there any feeding tips and any other advise would be great.
Thanks in advance.........Ian

Thanks Cornishsally, I think your version would be better than any I could come up with. I knew what it said so it can't be that far from right

There are lots of different salvias, many of which are perennials, but not these ones! They will die at the end of the summer. Just water & feed with any proprierty (can't spell) feed as packet/bottle instructions.
