Like Owdboggy, I wonder why people grow cucumbers. You get so many of them you can't do anything with them, as there's a limit to the number of cucumber sandwiches you can eat, and you only eat a few small slices with a salad. And if you want to make soup, you might as well use courgettes which taste far better.

Yes they wil produce fruit. You do not want a male, that is what makes cucumbers taste even worse than they do normally.
