I have a honeysuckle which i planted last spring it seemed to be doing well, but now it,s dying from the root up and the leaves are falling off. should i give up and plant a new one or can it be saved?

May be suffering from the heat and the sun. The ones where i work look pale and are dropping leaves. It may also still need watering as only been in soil a year. Perhaps a feed and light pruning down to a bud or a place where a leaf was and of course a good watering.
