WATCH THIS SPACE. I'm growing sweet corn so know it's not that, suspect might be a leek, maybe pampas??? Time will tell I guess. Thanx for the replys.

Could simply be a variety of grass. I remember coddling and carefully tending something like this in the greenhouse once, only to find it was a common type of grass!

Iwould nurture it and see what happens,you never know it might be a tobbaco plant, sorry about that i've recently stopped myself, and I know what you are going through.

Standing sideway to look again (you know you 'can' rotate your pix) it is definitely not a leek - at least it looks like now leek growing in our veggie garden. I assume you sowed more than one seed so, for this great lummox of a plant to appear I suspect it was already there i.e. a weed. With seed grown B & I are brutal - if it isn't what we sowed we heave it out!
