Hi, I have two of these which I planted 2 years ago, about the same size as yours. Since then I've moved them from a sunny site to shady and they are still growing fine.....about 4ft tall. The soil there is always damp, though its not particularly alkaline or acidic, and I feed them only when I feed the flowering plants as the watering can sprinkles over them too! This year they have put on about 9inches of growth and are quite happy....:o)
I've just checked it on Google and theres quite a bit of info there.
