Mystery Bulb

Bought and planted this bulb around May time. Has just flowered and is fragrant. When I looked at the label it had faded so I do not know the name. Any ideas please?

Hey ;) does the flower head appear like a spearhead ? (thats the only way i can describe it) if so then i think its a GLADIOLI.

Looking at the flowerhead in the top right of the picture it looks like a Gladioli.
Same family as the Acidanthera though, which is sometimes called the African Gladioli and is a must in my opinion.

my gladiolus flowers are in more of a green sheath when in bud, not as rounded as this. cant say i have noticed a fragrance either. so whilst not freesia i dont think they are gladi's either.
