I've had a Dipladena for 3 years. It nearly died in its first winter as the temperature in my (heated) greenhouse dipped to 5 degrees C. I cut it back hard and took it indoors. It re-sprouted from the roots after a couple of months. Lesson, as Bamboo has said is that it's best to bring it indoors at the end of the summer. (Doesn't seem to mind central heating) Seems to have most flowers in late summer.

Well according to Google, this is anew variety of Dipladena - which means its tender, so you will need to bring it into the house at the end of the summer. It can be trained up a trellis, but I'm not sure what the point would be if you've got to bring it in at the end of the season. Care instructions as for all dipladenas
