life time of raspberry canes

how long can i leave raspberry canes in tyhe same piece of ground?
is there a recommended programme of fertiliser which would prolong this life ?

i purchased some raspberry canes to grow on they have come through the raspberry...
My raspberry bushes have been great providers producing lots of flavoursome raspberries...
Don't think there is a recommended time period, Sayle, though it might make sense to move them after ten years or so. Mulch them with compost after you have cut out this years fruiting canes and I would think they should be evry happy.
