What soil and position should I plant my colocasia black magic in

There is a good planting and care guide on... hardy tropicals.co.uk...its a lovely marginal plant...:>)

They can be grown in full-sun or even up to 80% shade and require plenty of water to ensure good growth. They thrive next to ponds, in a bog garden or even grown in a pot if kept well watered.

They arent hardy, but i sont know what part of US your in so they maybe where you are, or not?
