Why did my begonia tubers take so long to flower this year. I put them in pots in the greenhouse in March. They are only just flowering now. They are 3 yars old but I did store them in a dry place away from frost.

Try starting the tubers in a poly bag in slightly damp compost in the airing cupboard. Very carefully inspect them after a week and when the buds have reached a good size, pot them up.

This is the normal time of year for begonias to flower....my buds are about one and a half inches wide.
