i cut my hydrangea last year because it was to big it hasnt flowered this year, bit is very large will the flowers come back

If its a mophead or lacecap type Hydrangea, these shouldn't be pruned until April, when growth first begins, and even then, only a light pruning involving removing spent flowerheads and stems and any dead parts. You can, though, cut down a third of the stems - these will not flower the same year as a result, but the rest of the shrub will.

Probably. You will have cut off all the flower forming shoots last year, so I assume the new growth this year will give you flowers.
