Name this plant

Can anyone tell me the name of this plant please. I have grown this one on but I am pulling up a lot of seedlings which have long white roots. It looks like a buttercup but the leaves are different.

I'm sure it's a lesser celendine. It is best if you grow it in a woodland garden bacause it will spread.

Only query is that Celandines don't just have roots - they have nasty little white bulby-things some of which inevitably get left in the soil and then another plant grows! The flower and leaves do look like a Celandine, I agree.

Looks like Lesser Celandine to me.Can be very invasive in the wrong place.Ok in a wild garden I reckon.
