New Plants

Hi all I have just bought 2 Winter Plants
Winter Jasmin (Nudiflorium)
Winter Honeysuckle(Fragrantissima) sp?
I want to put them into large pots so i can train them on a trellis will they be happy enough me doing this.Any advise appreciated.Thanks

I agree with Moon grower....I tried keeping these jasmine in pots to grow up a trellis in a yard and they stayed spindly and had very weak growth and had few flowers. I then got fed up - and shoved them out into the open ground in the garden - and they thrived merrily! I rest my case!!

thanks Moon & Alz really wanted something with a fragrance for planting beside my back kitchen door,have patio right up to door so will have to look for something different,will plant the newbies in ground!!!!

Not to mention that Jasmine nudiflorum has no discernable fragrance - you'd probably get away with the winter honeysuckle in a pot, as long as its large, though, since its not a climber, is really a shrub.

Mobee - growing plants is anything but 'simple' you really need to know how they need to be grown. Google a specific plant for info and god luck
