We've re-seeded a section of lawn in the spring following removal of a tree stump. The seed has grown well during the summer but is now starting to go brown. Any idea what the cause might be and, if so, what treatment we should take to achieve green rather than brown grass in the re-seeded area.

is the ground water logged or bone dry? the grass may well recover on its own.
I know this is a stupid question but you have used a lawn mix of seed?
