what is this plant

it looks like its the british native, wild clematis or travellers joy.
it will develop lovely silky seed heads in the autumn.

Oh of course, now you mention it the leaves do look like clematis, I've never seen it before, how lovely. Thanks Sbg

Definitely C. vitalba.

thought so, it is also called 'old mans beard' due to its silky seed heads.

I rarely know the the latin names for wild lowers as i learnt my local plants as a young girl. I have checked and it is C vitalba.
