My Cordlyne has sprout a new shoot do i remove this and plant up

Avon, United Kingdom

the cordlyne is a bout 5 years old is bronze in colour and is situated in its original place against a wall

id the shoot at the base or the trunk. You need to leave it if coming from the base as they take a year or two to grow thier own roots and fend for themselves! Gently remove soil to see if roots have formed. There may only be tiny ones, in which case leave till spring or autumn next year. Is the main plant dying or just had a shoot?
