It's not your Rhapsody ,usernut, that has green stamens - again, Womble, when did this start flowering, just now, and has it flowered earlier this year too?

Our montana has a second flush of flowers right now - not nearly as good as the spring show but still nice to see.

The blue colour rules out Montana straight away.
The four tepals suggest viticella somewhere in it's ancestry. As to exact variety.....

i brought the plant about a month maybe 2 months ago and this is the only flower which appeared last week.
i will take a look on Tsuyoshi weblink and see if i can spot it.

I agree with Fractal in that its a viticella type, just don't know which variety. Looks exactly like Rhapsody except for the colour of the stamens.

This looks like the one Grindle posted a few weeks ago, can't remember it's name ... i'll go and look !
It does look the same and Grindle thinks it's Etoile Violette.

the diameter is 9cm and there is one more bud but thats it for flowers
I've just added a photo to my photo's which shows the whole plant.

Louise i think you've found it, thank you. its a little darker on the link than the one in my garden but it is a young plant so that might be why.
