what do I do with new shoots on my cordyline australis

my cordyline australis has 2 trunks.lost one top in the winter,now has numerous shoots from the base, and some new shoots growing up the other trunk. Should I do anything with these?

If you've got dead trunk above the new growth, I'd be inclined to prune that off back to the new growth.

no leave them alone. if theres too many nature will sort it out. i love it when they do this. it makes for a more interesting plant.
