Is this the one I thought was Henbane....well I've changed my mind...Lol! The flower is Lobelia-like, like Moongrower thought yesterday. Very unusual!

Yes, same one - it's definitely not henbane. Are there really such tall lobelias? It's 70cm/27inches, some of the leaves are huge.

is it one of the labiate family or possibly one of the figwart family?

No, this is definitely Lobelia siphilitica and I think I identified it as a Lobelia :-)

Yes I think you are right Fractal, many thanks. It would appear to be var.alba although the flowers do have blue streaks on them.
