Is this the one I thought was Henbane....well I've changed my mind...Lol! The flower is Lobelia-like, like Moongrower thought yesterday. Very unusual!

I first posted this question on 17th August with another photo : http://www.growsonyou.com/question/show/12223-does-anyone-know-what-this-is-please

Someone asked me to take a closeup which is what you can see above. I couldn't work out how to add the new photos to the original question which is why they appear separately.....sorry to be confusing.

Yes, same one - it's definitely not henbane. Are there really such tall lobelias? It's 70cm/27inches, some of the leaves are huge.

is it one of the labiate family or possibly one of the figwart family?

No, this is definitely Lobelia siphilitica and I think I identified it as a Lobelia :-)

Yes I think you are right Fractal, many thanks. It would appear to be var.alba although the flowers do have blue streaks on them.

Well it wasn't me who i.d. it yesterday!

Sorry Mg.....I meant Fractal.....
