Iford weeping cherry

morning all, my mum has a young Iford weeping cherry, which has been growing very well. Yesterday she noticed that within a day a large amount of leaves had been chewed and there seemed to be small worms on the underneath of each leaf. Any ideas what this could be please, and how best to deal with it. I am hoping to get a photo soon, as I am just going by her description. Many thanks

They sound like larvae or catepillars of some kind - I'd be off to the garden centre for something like Provado and spraying, as long as the tree's not too big for this to be possible.

How do I say thanks?
