I planted a tree lupin last year but it still hasn't flowered - how long do they take before flowering?

the ons i grew from seed flowered in its 3rd year, lived for another 3 then snuffed it. so yes short lived but the seeds are self fertile.

These are short lived shrubby perennials, and I'd have expected it to flower this year, for sure. They're not keen on rich soils, prefer lighter, less nutrient dense soil and flower better without feeding. Don't know if that helps...
