How do I germinate a Mirabelle plum from the stone and grow it?

Mirabelles ( I think they are Mirabelle de Nancy because they are mainly yellow) grow all over Cambridge and I really want one in my garden because they are so delicious. I've collected some fruits and pips. What do I do with them so they can grow?

Hi Maryenna and welcome - your best bet is to go and buy a mirabelle plum tree! Growing from seed it is going to take years to reach fruiting size and there is no guarantee it will be a mirabelle plum as it could have been cross pollinated with a different plum tree.
