I have a Gaura and am not sure of how to maintain it

Does the plant thrive best in sun? Does it need sheltered from wind? What feed is best? How much water? Does it need pruning at the end of flowering, or at what time in the seasons? I live in West Sussex, South facing garden, plant at the moment is in full sun, protected from Westerly/SouthWesterly wind.

Gauras like light soil and full sun, so it sounds as if you've got it right. They do often die over the winter, but will seed themselves freely - careful how you weed next year in case seedlings are popping up. You can also collect the seed and grow that on if you want.
