sowing and collecting seeds

I have grows some lupin's from seed, unfortunately now they have all been individually potted up, some seem to be wilting then dying, is this damping off and is there any way of stopping this. I have also been collecting delphinium seeds from plants that I grew last year, they did really well. Can I keep the seed until next spring, stored in paper bag, when it is said that they do not come true is that because they revert back to a particular colour and what is it. Any answers would be appreciated.

yes you can store the seed in paper bags or envelopes and then sow in the spring.
The delphiniums may not be identical to the parent just as you are not identical to yours. They are blue in the 'wild type'. but they take several breeding sessions to become more wild type.
if you are talking lupins it is the same reasoning and again the wild form is a blue/purple form.
