what is best feed to use when planting new young laurel

I will be planting a laurel hedge over the weekend & would like to know the best feed to see them through the winter

Agree with the above, BUT I wouldn't put the fish blood and bone on the top, I'd put in the planting holes - it attracts cats, rats, mice, dogs if on the top.

Yes, when I planted my laurel hedge the guy in the GC said to add compost and bonemeal in the hole before planting. We did this and the laurel is doing brilliantly - good luck

Buy a mackeral, plant it in the hole with the roots. As it rots it feeds the roots.
Encourages good root growth.
Blood and bonemeal is good too.
