Hello all ,I have a lovely Christmas Catci just coming into flower... or at least i did have untill last week when the stems started to fall away at soil level ??!! dropping out of the pot and on to the floor ...on inspection there were very few roots but as far as i could see nothing in the soil to eat them off, i am careful with the watering and wondered if it could be 'mealy bugs '? ... anyone else had this problem ? many thanks .

No, but you could pot up the bits that drop off, as they root very easily. You could end up with several new plants! I'd lose the poorly one, as it does sound as though something is in the pot to cause the damage...you could check for the dreaded vine weevil - they get everywhere.
