long thin stems, leaf is broader at stem kind of like a reverse pair shape flowers re pink with similar shape with a long thin pine cone shape coming off the base of the stem and flower

Sounds like you're describing a spathe like flower - if its a houseplant, could be Spathifyllum; or Zantedeschia of some kind. Or Anthurium
