Late flowering allium - anyone know the variety?

Its a stumpy wee allium about 8 inches high, with the leaves fanning out. Any idea which one it could be?

Is it garlic? Dig up the bulb to see if it resembles a garlic bulb, they are alliums.

The bulb isn't segmented like a garlic, but I've not cut one up.
I'll post another pic which may help

Looking at it again, I wonder if it is Nerine filifolium?

I had a look at google and the nerine filifolium has lovely long shaped petals. This flower head stays compact, like a chive. Thanks for keep ing on the case

Try Allium senescens. There are lots of different forms of it and it is just about finishing flowering now.

Difficult to id Alliums at the best of times, but a close up of the flower would really help. There are about a dozen which flower later on and have that kind of flower arrangement and are pink.
