Oh my, I just have to know what these flowers are, the smell so wonderful I can't even describe it. The plant is kind of ugly, but the blossoms almost look like butterflies. I wish you could smell them.

Look like sweet peas to me. Proper name Lathyrus.

Definitely Lathyrus(Sweet Pea) looks like grandiflorus which is perennial, if it is not , then it could be a self seeded pea from somewhere, but not very likely.

However L. grandiflorus has NO smell, so more likely a wilding Lathyrus odorus ie Sweet pea.

Definitely look like everlasting sweet pea. This type will keep growing year in year out. Try collecting the seeds and plant up and old tree or trellis

Everlasting peas are unscented, though pretty. The bi-colored Cupani sweet pea has petals in these shades and is incredibly strongly perfumed - my favorite! I think this is what it is.

How do I say thanks?
