Jeyes fluid will work, but be careful about run off into any beds or borders along the path. A pressure washer will do the trick too. Just remembered, you're the member who thought I'd been PMing you too often, when actually I haven't ever, aren't you?

whats a tarred path?

Do not use Jeyes Fluid on tarred paths, it will break up the surface, a strong solution of Armillatox will clear it, in October and again in March. A weaker solution will clean off algae on paving. Water on with your weedkiller plus can, when rain is not forecast. Leave it to be washed away by rain, the smell will go off in 48hours.

Last year I was not able to keep clean the tennis court at one of the properties I maintain. Being very wet I used sulphate of iron, now 12 months later it has just started to grow again. The surface of the court is now orange in colour.

sulphate of amoner would proberly do the job but with the added bonues that it would do the rest of the plants good if it got on the garden'
