When to prune honeysuckle?

My daughter has a beautiful honeysuckle which has flowered really well and has berries on. She says that it has overtaken it's space on her shed and wants to know when is the best time to give it a trim? I suggested to her that after the flowers have finished would probably be the right time but I also said I have some very good friends who would KNOW for certain. Lol So please can you give me your take on the query. Thank you Sue x

If your daughter wants to reduce its size by up to a third, best time to do that is in the winter, when its dormant - she can also take a few stems down to the ground, and that's a good time to remove all the dead stuff too.
