when is the last time i can pick my rhubarb

Our rhubarb has been over for months... I assume that the advice not to pick after July is to give the stool time to regenerate.

Lol, I picked and ate the last of mine just under a fornight ago, there was loads of it any I had to throw some out.
the last crop was probably the best of the lot.

I keep noticing people say lol.
It doesn't seem to be anyone's name and I'm intrigued. Anyone know?
