Favourites?

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the "Favourites" thing does? I've had people advise me that I'm added to their "Favourites" but I'm not sure what that means. Are there any benefits on the site from being on a favourites list? Should I be responding in kind? Any advice appreciated....
And while I'm on, what does LMAO mean?

I add to my list of favorites Bambo when somthing intests me such as their comments, their knowledge, or the pics of their gardens. If I put them on my favorites I can pop back and look them up again and at their pics when it suits me as some have a lot of pics to look through. Also I am able to follow them if they post something. I think favourites is the wrong word its more a list of people you like having contact with . So If you have been picked as a favorite it seems you have done something right? Its what you want it to be really, I use it as an aid memoir is what I am trying to say.

Thanks for the interpretation, Steve (it was the only thing I could think of that fitted LMAO!)
So are you saying that if, for instance, I added "Fred Jones" as a favourite, I would then get some kind of notification when he'd put up some new pics or written a blog or something? If I've understood that correctly, to everyone who's added me as a favourite, you're about to be selected, but it'll take me some time to trawl back through my inbox...

yes you are correct, Fred Jones would let you know of anything he had added.
It can get very time consuming, i added a few favourites of my own , but couldn't keep up with all the activity, so i just browse when i can .

Half way down on the left of your home page it tells you which of your favorites have posted new blogs or pics, so you dont miss it.You can then click on that to read. The notification about being a fav is automatic when you click on add to my Fav's.

This site should come with a book of instructions?

It's probably my fault for not reading the info properly, Drc, it'll be on here somewhere.

I will just add that the list shows all your favourites when they have added pictures and blogs so it can get really long especially if you have loads of favourites. I can imagine you will Bamboo as you a clever one!

I've been wondering if that list just keeps getting longer and longer or do the oldest ones automatically get wiped off after a certain length of time. Mine is getting huge - not that it really matters.

that's a relief - I was imagining it being yards long, if it didn't clear after a time.
