Snowdrops ?

My wife wants to know when to put her snowdrop bulbs in the ground, is she to late ?

yes pop them in now. its better to plant them in the green [leaf]. i've never soaked them as such but i often place dry things on damp kitchen towel so they dont get overly wet.

Snowdrops are such a reassuring sight just when you think the winter will never end. If you've a shady spot or want to underplant a tree/shrub they're a cheery sight. I'd plant them now.

As Seaburngirl says its better to plant them in the green so they may not flower this year but will next year if not.

No, get them in as soon as possible. The longer they are out of the ground the less likely they are to grow. On the few occasions I have grown bought Snowdrops I have always soaked the bulbs overnight in warm water with a little fungicide in it.
