Trying to take streptacarpus cuttings from my fil plants

I have used multi purpose compsot and toppe dwith sharp sand and lay leaves on top cut with knife .
Should I give a good soak with water?

Answers
Place a small pebble on top of the leaves to stop them moving. Water by soaking the pots from the bottom.

I assumed you were putting the leaf or part leaf into the compost and watering in? Thats the only way I have done it.

Yes I did drc726 but did not use propagator.

You're welcome :) I didn't cover mine either,just left them on windowsill but will yours be ok now that we are getting less light/warmth ?

I have them in my greenhouse but could take them indoors to my conservatory Aster.

Yes water well before putting in your propergator or covering with plastic bag that does not touch the leaves. Put in daylight. Scotkat
