why no flowers?

Planted this shrub last year. It is very healthy and has grown a lot in 1 year. I am wondering why not a single flower appeared this year. Live in the Western Isles.

On plant Olearia

It probably needs older wood to flower on, be patient, maybe next year.

Likes full sun, fertile well-drained soil. Flowers July/August and its fully hardy. Did you prune it last year? I think it needs pruning to encourage flowering? (usually this is done after flowering)

If its only a year old, it won't need pruning, Digby. Agree with Volunteer - time!
