Do I cut lupins down to ground level in the autumn?

Can you advise me what I should do with my lupins now - can I split them or should I just cut them back? Thank you!

Lupins cannot be split. Just cut them down to where the growth is still green, and again later if you have to.

in the spring you ca take cuttings if there are more than one shoot. like you can delphiniums.
