Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood', 'Aratama', 'Trompenburg and 'Shishigashira', plus Acer dissectum 'Crimson Queen', 'Garnet', and 'Seiryu', should all do well in sun, providing moisture requirements are met. All the above should be fairly easy to obtain.
