I have a large clump of Shasta Daisys when is the best time to split?

Don't worry Denise, they may have been in a dry state when you cut them down. Don't try to encourage them to grow before the spring as they will be subject to frost.

I did mine as well, Denise! I needed to move them, and split them at the same time. I don't think they'll lack water today, do you? LOL.

The tops I know are still green in Sussex, you will have to wait a little longer. Lift the clumps and divide with two garden forks back to back. Plant back in 3's or 5's. For the best results feed in the spring.
