How do I know whether my Prunus tree with plums on it is a Prunus cerasifera. I dont want to eat the plums and die of poisoning. Are there any prunus trees with poisonous plums?

There aren't any on the list on the website I checked for you. I would imagine that some ornamental Prunus fruits would taste too bitter to be edible, though.
