No pruning required apparently but it is not frost hardy. so it will need winter protection. Well-drained soil is also a sensible planting strategy. Feed regularly during growing season with Palm fertiliser, no need for fertiliser during the winter period.
if it is in a pot you might want to bring it in to an unheated greenhouse /conservatory as long as it remains frost free..
