I think they came into the warm too soon. Better to leave them cooler until they are more nearly ready to come out. A first aid measure could be to put card cylinders round the plants to draw them upwards, but its a bit late for that now. However you can still enjoy the lovely colours and scent.

I,ve had something similar happen other years, leaving them to get bigger can help but I sometimes wonder if the bulbs haven't been 'prepared' properly

I see what you mean waddy. I think they may have been 'checked' probably getting a 'chill' when they first came out into the light. but at least you have had some colour from them.

I don't think they are out properly yet, bringing them into the warm might help them.
